I am absolutely thrilled to join the Cabarrus Opportunity School family as an assistant principal for the 2026-2027 school year! I look forward to partnering with our students, staff, and families to bring our school's vision to life, working daily to foster "a revitalized and re-engaged student who is empowered and capable." Together, we will create a supportive, structured, and nurturing environment where every student can successfully navigate their educational journey.
My path in education is rooted in a deep commitment to student growth across all grade levels. Most recently, I served as an assistant principal at Rocky River Elementary School (2025–2026) and Cox Mill High School (2022–2025). Before my roles in school administration, I gained invaluable experience as the Dean of Students and a Principal Intern at J.N. Fries Magnet Middle School, and I spent several years in the classroom teaching 7th and 8th-grade language arts and social studies in both Caldwell County and Cabarrus County.
My educational foundation includes a Bachelor of Science in Middle Grades Education from Western Carolina University, where I was a proud North Carolina Teaching Fellow, followed by a Master’s degree in Higher Education from Appalachian State University and a School Administration license from Gardner-Webb University.
Outside of work, I love cooking, traveling, and making memories with my wife, family, and friends. I am incredibly excited to begin this new chapter at Cabarrus Opportunity School and cannot wait to see what we will accomplish together!
